The last seminar on ESA knowledge took place at NSAU on January 20-21st 2010. It was opened by Mr Eduard Kuznietsov, deputy general director and was handled by Dr Olvia Drescher-Schwenzfeier and Mr Rainer Scharenberg, both from the German Aerospace Center (DLR). It gathered roughly 20 specialists essentially from NSAU with several department directors (Research, Space programs, Special Programs, Industrial Policy, International Relations, Economy and Finance), and allowed to finalize all the aspects of relationships of ESA with its members, the financing, the procurement and the geographic return aspects.
It also allowed to answer all questions, political, organisational or practical. A complete list of questions was sent to the experts in preparation of the seminar. The question of membership, so sensitive to Ukraine, was dealt with a maximum of openness. A simulation of the various fees to be invested annually in the ESA budget was made.
Some time was devoted to define jointly an action plan for NSAU to handle after the closure of our twinning project.
