The first seminar of a serie of 7 seminars on ECSS Norms and Standards took place in Kiev at NSAU on January 20-21st, 2009 with the participation of three German experts respectively from the European Space Agency (ESA), the German AIBG, and the EADS Astrium Company. The seminar was opened by Mr Eduard Kuznietsov, NSAU deputy general director. About 20 Ukrainian specialists from NSAU and from various organisations and industrial companies attended this training.

All Twinning RTA, assistants and counterparts were invited to a Christmas party organized jointly by PAO and ITO on December 18th at PAO premises. This event was sponsorized by the EU delegation and the presence of Mr Capellino, head of Contracts and Finance Section, and several project managers, among them Mr Kontzoglou, was appreciated. A very sophisticated dinner was served to all participants, several videos were shown and a russian couple Grand Father Freeze and Snegourotchka entertained the audience with various games. The evening ended up with a distribution/exchange of many gifts.

A second seminar on Legislation took place at NSAU (December 10-11th). The themes covered were "International Framework" and "Authorization and control of Space activities". European experts involved were Pr Philippe Achilleas from Paris University, Pr Armel Kerrest from Brest University, Julien Mariez from CNES, Dr Bernhard Schmidt-Tedd and Isabelle Arnold from DLR. The seminar was opened by Mr Borys Atamanenko, director of International Relations department at NSAU.

The fourth meeting of the Steering Committee took place on December 5th at NSAU premises. The purpose of this management meeting was to review and approve the last quarter activity, from August 15th to November 15th, 2008 and to approve the adjustment of the budget for the remaining part of the project. The quarterly report was reviewed in details and approved, as well as the proposed budget. A side letter will be issued shortly.
